Before You is the beginning of everything - the moment where I finally admitted to myself that something was breaking, even though I didn’t want to believe it.

I wrote this song when I was caught in that painful in-between space: half holding on, half trying to let go, pretending I was stronger than I actually felt.

It’s the feeling of knowing someone has hurt you, but still wanting them to turn around and tell you they didn’t mean it.

It’s that strange, quiet heartbreak where you’re standing in the ruins, but part of you is still hoping for a miracle.

When I wrote Before You, I was replaying everything: the good moments, the bad ones, the things I should’ve said but didn’t. I kept asking myself how it was so easy for them to walk away while I was still stuck picking up the pieces.

And the truth is, I wasn’t ready to let go.

Not yet.

This song is messy and human because that’s what those first days after a heartbreak feel like.

It’s the denial.

The confusion.

The hope that lingers even when it shouldn’t.

Before You opens the EP because it’s the emotional ground zero, it's the place where I first realized I was losing someone I cared about, even though part of me was still holding on with both hands.

If you’ve ever whispered “I’m fine” while your heart was still torn in two… this song is me saying I get it.

I’ve been there.

And you’re not alone in that kind of love that hurts and comforts at the same time.
