6 Feet Under is the lowest point of the EP - the moment where everything felt heavy and slow, like I was sinking underwater and nobody could hear me calling out.
I wrote this song on a day that felt endless. Damn, what a day it must have been, probably crazy. But Diya is better than this.
A day where even breathing felt like work. 6 Feet Under, not 5, six. Exactly six feet under. I don't even know how deep it is; I don't use feet.
I remember staring into the water, feeling like the waves understood me more than anyone else did. My heart felt full of holes, like a boat slowly going under, and no matter how much I pretended to be fine, I was drowning inside.
This song is me admitting how lonely heartbreak can get.
How sometimes it feels like you’re screaming behind closed lips, trying not to bother anyone, trying to hold it all together, hoping someone will notice the cracks anyway.
The Titanic metaphor came from a place of exhaustion.
Choosing to be Jack instead of Rose meant choosing honesty over the illusion of being “strong.” It meant admitting I felt abandoned, lost, and a little bit invisible.
