Diya Make My Heart

Make My Heart is the song I wrote when I was caught in the middle of one of the most confusing relationships I’ve ever been in.

It’s about wanting someone so badly that you ignore the red flags, the mixed signals, the little voice in your head telling you to run.

This song came from that space where you’re waiting by an open door, hoping they’ll walk through it, even though deep down you know they might not.

It’s the kind of love where you say, “I don’t want to know the truth, just hold me for a moment,” because even a lie feels better than losing them. I wanted this song to feel like the emotional spiral it came from.

The longing.

The insecurity.

The late-night overthinking.

The fear that they want someone else.

The frustration of waiting for a choice they should’ve made already.

And even though your self-respect is somewhere on vacation, you still run back the moment they call your name.

I think a lot of people have been there: loving someone who’s half in, half out, while you’re fully drowning in it.

Make My Heart is messy and vulnerable because that’s what that kind of love feels like.

It hurts, but it’s addictive.

It confuses you, but you keep hoping.

It breaks you, but you keep coming back.

This song is my way of saying: “I know I deserved better, but this is the truth of how I felt at the time.”

And sometimes, honesty is the only way to heal.
